Sáez Cranes, together with its official distributor Edilgema, deploys its STC 7027 12T and TLS 75 14T tower cranes at the Porto Antico in Genoa for the ambitious rehabilitation of the Hennebique building, Italy’s first reinforced concrete structure, which will be reborn as a modern office space.

Our tower cranes continue to leave their mark on Europe’s most important architectural rehabilitation projects. In the heart of Genoa’s Porto Antico, next to the iconic Stazione Marittima, Sáez Cranes is actively involved in the recovery and conversion of the historic Hennebique complex.

Built between 1889 and 1901, the Hennebique holds a special place in architectural history as the first reinforced concrete building constructed in Italy. After decades of neglect, this imposing and monumental grain silo is undergoing a complete revival.

The ambitious architectural project will transform its historic structure into a modern, functional office space, reintegrating it into the urban dynamism of the coastal city.

To meet the demanding technical requirements of this large-scale project, two of our tower crane models have been deployed: an STC 7027 12T and a TLS 75 14T. Both units deliver the performance, reach, and precision needed to operate optimally and safely in high-density heritage and port environments.

We are thrilled and immensely proud to support this historic restoration project hand in hand with our official distributor in the area, Edilgema, whose commitment and outstanding local technical support are essential to the success of the operation.
