With a total of seven Flat-Top tower cranes, Sáez Cranes is present with its distributor Edilgema in the construction of the modern Olympic Village for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games “Milano Cortina 2026”. It is a project that will stand out for its technology and respect for the environment.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will be the first to be held in Italy since the Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo, in 1956. The construction of the Olympic Village is an important project for both the Italian Olympic Committee and the city of Milan, as it demonstrates their commitment to sustainable development and urban planning.

The Olympic complex will be built with the use of environmentally friendly materials,  and will employ advanced technologies to reduce its carbon footprint, improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

In addition to housing the athletes, the Olympic Village will also serve as a focal-point for the local community after the Games are completed, with public spaces, housing and commercial areas.

This site will be an important community hub, with a wide range of services and facilities to meet the needs of residents and visitors.

There will be recreational facilities such as swimming pools, fitness centres, tennis courts and skating rinks, as well as wellness facilities such as spas and saunas.

The project includes spaces for community events, such as conference rooms and theatres, making it a place where architecture and nature coexist in harmony, creating a unique and inspiring space.

Sáez Cranes has the privilege of participating in this initiative, with a significant number of tower cranes present in the construction of the Olympic Village, and our distributor Edilgema has already begun to assemble the first cranes for its construction.
