The innovative hydraulic internal climbing system developed by Sáez Cranes makes it possible to lift a tower crane independently and in confined spaces, with a simple and extraordinarily efficient assembly procedure.
The pace of large-building construction is growing all over the world, from Asia to South America, and right across the largest European and Middle Eastern capitals.
In response to the needs of this growing market, Sáez Cranes has developed a new and highly efficient internal climbing system that revolutionizes the tower crane’s role on site, and significantly speeds up tower crane climbing operations for our customers.
Our first internal climbing system of this kind has been developed to erect a Sáez Flat-top TLS 65B 10T crane 240 meters high on the “Alpha Square” project in central London. However, our engineers have developed this innovative system so it can also be used on 12, 14 and up to 16-ton capacity cranes for future projects.
With a 5-meter-long hydraulic twin-piston system, a single piston stroke allows the crane to rise 3.8 meters with each operation, enabling it to achieve a jacking-speed with an ease and practicality unheard of to date.
Sáez Cranes has invested 8 months of intense work in the development of this amazing machinery, in collaboration with the engineers from J. Reddington and its local distributor, London Tower Crane.
Saez’s brief was precise: to develop a climbing crane with very few components, a small, self-contained hydraulic unit, that can be installed and ready to climb in just a few hours, being, at the customer’s request, “the easiest and most user-friendly system on the market“.
Our new internal climbing system has been successfully developed and is now available to our customers worldwide, who can benefit from the experience gained on this London project.
It has been a pleasure for us to work closely with our customer to create, once again, a truly market-leading product that makes people’s lives easier and safer. At Sáez, “innovation” is and always will be one of our primary objectives.
